Silicone adhesive is a type of sealant that is formed from materials such as sodium silicate, organosilicon, and silicone structural polymers. Silicone sealant has good adhesion to most substrates, transparent products, moderate mechanical strength, and fast surface curing speed. Silicone sealant is widely used for sealing seams between various types of glass, metal, aluminum, ceramic tiles, organic glass, and coated glass. Silicone sealant is a good helper for house decoration and a good companion for automobile manufacturing and maintenance.
1. Widely used, silicone sealant can be used to bond dry and clean metals, glass, most oil-free wood, silicone resin, sulfurized silicone rubber, ceramics, natural and synthetic fibers.
2. Used for the installation of aluminum alloy doors and windows, titanium alloy doors and windows, and plastic steel doors and windows, used for filling and sealing seams, and strengthening the adhesion of objects.
3. Silicone sealant can be used for bonding and sealing of buckle doors and windows.
4. Sealing of joints between various types of glass, metal, aluminum, ceramic tiles, organic glass, and coated glass.
5. Silicone sealant is suitable for weather resistant sealing of various glass curtain walls, aluminum-plastic panel curtain walls, stone dry hanging, etc.
6. There is also the function of bonding ceramics, sanitary ware, and marble, which many people may overlook.
7. Suitable for joint sealing on surfaces of concrete, cement, masonry, rock, marble, steel, wood, anodized aluminum, and painted aluminum, and in most cases, primer is not required.
1. Silicone sealant should be stored in a cool and dry place between 4-27 degrees Celsius to maintain its original sealed state;
2. From the production date, the general shelf life is around 6 months;
3. Silicone sealant should not be used on the surface of building materials that have leaked grease, plasticizers, or other solvents;
4. Do not use on painted surfaces as it may cause sealing failure due to cracking or peeling of the paint film;
5. It should not be used on surfaces that come into direct contact with food or in areas that are prone to mechanical wear and tear to avoid accidental ingestion;
6. It is recommended not to use it at noon or when the surface temperature of building materials is below 4 ℃ or above 40 ℃, in order to avoid not achieving the desired effect.
